I can remember a time when Target stores peddled clothing that was hardly even socially acceptable. Today, it would appear big brands have been brought into their stores and it is almost like it has turned into a decent destination to buy clothes. If you’re not convinced, perhaps you have not been informed that quality designer denim brand William Rast has officially been appended to the list of designers sold at Target.
If you’re not privy, William Rast is a relatively new brand of designer jeans, co-founded by Justin Timberlake. These fancy jeans have been seen on a whole bunch of famous folk in Hollywood. It’s safe to say they will be by far the most pricy denim found at any given Target in the country, but they are still available at Target. Doesn’t that just throw you for a loop or what?
Once upton a time when I was a child, I can recall feeling bored out of my mind while shopping at Target and begging my mom to purchase me a $10 junk watch. I cannot say with certainty what other types of wrist watches were for sale, but I am pretty sure there were numerous types that were all within that same cost range. Now, there are many types being sold at Target priced at over a hundred bucks.
Another haunting memory was in my teen years. In the name of saving some coin, my oblivious mother would purchase me clothing from Target. At a critical time when the majority of my schoolmates were wearing trendy, more expensive, skate style brand names, I was stuck with random brand names such as Utility or Mossimo, which were the trademarks of Target back in the day. It was rather arduous.
Things have apparently changed. Nowadays, buying clothes at Target is like the cool thing one can do. What’s next?
